KOB is hosting its
7th Annual "Feed A Teen Dinner", Saturday, November 22, 2014
(1:00-5:00pm) to promote higher education and non-violence among our
youth... During this historical event the attending youth will enjoy a
day of family, a holiday meal, entertainment, music, and special prizes.
We need your help!
Our goal is to feed
1,000 teens for Thanksgiving, to give children/youth a sense of family
and community and something to be thankful for. This event was started
in response to the many children that came to my house on Thanksgiving
Day to ask if they could share our traditional family setting and dinner
because they had no one to share it with at home. So far, over 3,000
children, teens and young adults have attended this event!
Funds raised by this
event will enable Kids Off The Block to feed youth and their families
city wide, continue to promote non-violence and advocate for higher
education among our youth in Chicago IL. All donations are tax
deductible (a tax exempt letter will be sent upon request).
