In this webinar, Allyson Esposito, the Director of the Cultural Grants Program for the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, will have a conversation with JC Steinbrunner, Editor of Chicago Artists Resource, about how to write a strong grant application just weeks before the DCASE Individual Artists Grant applications open on December 6, 2013.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
  
Allyson Esposito
Allyson Esposito is the Director of the Cultural Grants Program for the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). Prior to her work with DCASE, Allyson served as the Program Officer for the Mayer & Morris Kaplan Family Foundation in Highland Park, IL. She has also worked as an attorney and as an information technology/risk management consultant.

Esposito has been a practicing dance artist in Chicago for more than ten years. She has been creating and performing dance with The Space/Movement Project since its inception in 2005 and led the company as its executive director from 2007-2012.


JC Steinbrunner
JC Steinbrunner
 is the Editor of Chicago Artists Resource (CAR), a program of theChicago Artists Coalition, as well as a painter, lecturer and founder/director of The Salon Series, an exhibition project for visual and culinary arts.

Prior to his work with CAR, Steinbrunner worked for twelve years as an online creative director and digital strategist. Before that, he was an iron worker.
