When it comes down to following your first mind in writing your work on paper/pc, etc.

Be honest, it could help you write the book you've been procrastinating about!

1st book, first mind....

My hubby is writing his first book and discovering his love for sharing the information he's been keeping to himself for yearssssssssssss!

Sometimes he gets writers block, and I simply tell him the same thing I am telling you, and that is to jot down a word that means something to you, and follow up on it later.

Get up and walk around, do something else and see what happens.
If nothing comes, so be it. Write just that.
Writing is the work,
but allowing the words to come is
the process.

Enjoy the process, and be thankful that it comes in it's own time,
not yours.

Now follow your first mind!

The ego wants to write, but the truth of the matter is,
The MESSAGE is waiting on you to be still, quiet and...
so that it can come through you.

The truth is always revealed!
So stop trying to write

DCASE announces the Chicago Cultural Center Studio Artist and Curatorial Residency Programfor professional and emerging Chicago-based visual artists and curators. The program aims to support Chicago's visual artists and curators in their creative process and to increase the diversity of expression and representation in the larger artistic community in Chicago.  Through a competitive review process, DCASE will award six Studio Artist in Residency opportunities and two Curatorial Fellowships to diverse Chicago-based artists and curators over 18 years of age, at all career levels (emerging, mid-career, mature) in the visual arts. The program seeks to support artists and curators who demonstrate a level of commitment to their work that indicates promise, and/or those who are on the brink of career advancement. This is achieved through providing a studio, financial support, administrative support of DCASE staff and the opportunity to engage with the public in formal and informal settings throughout the residency period, as well as through the development of a cohort of artists and curators. This program is supported through a generous grant from The Joyce Foundation.
